Task: Develop a simple website for local paddle board shop
Jerry contacted us in a pinch. His previous website had been deleted, and he needed to have a new site up as soon as possible. After explaining what features he needed, we got to work immediately. 48 hours later, the new Ozark Paddle Board website was live.
The story doesn’t stop there. In order to get his site up in time, we had to find a new domain (long story). After doing some research, we found a domain that we thought would increase walkins, but even we couldn’t predict what happened next. After two years of customers ignoring his website, no one expected his site’s stats to take off in the FIRST week. Even better, his walkins were actually mentioning the new design! While it is unusual for a site to have such initial success, quality design, code, and marketing can accomplish a lot.
“The idea of having a website up within a few days sounded impossible. My last site took 6 months! What we accomplished here, well it blew me away to say the least.”
Obviously with the timeframe, we had to keep things simple. That meant eliminating anything and everything that we could. The first thing you may notice is that there’s no menu. There’s not even an off-canvas menu. It’s not hidden anywhere. It just doesn’t exist. And why should it? Local visitors don’t want to read multiple pages; most probably wouldn’t even understand the content. They want to see what services you offer, how to get in touch, and where your store is. And we streamlined that process.
The site is fully responsive and adjust to all screen sizes. The grid system ensures that content is always in the order desired, and the entire site can be edited using a drag-and-drop system (that’s right, Jerry doesn’t have to know how to code to edit his own site).
